Applying decals to the side of a fuselage on an aeroplane is a task that many find tricky.  The tilted fuselage stand is designed to ease this task though others have identified that it may also aid painting of aeroplanes.

A base unit holds two adjustable uprights that lift and support the fuselage.  One of the wings is then rotated down and lightly held within a wing support thus turning the fuselage and presenting the side of it in a more horizantal manner.

The stand is supplied in modular format so you only purchase the parts that you need.

Initial Base and Wing Support

This is the foundation of the stand and everybody will need this part.  The T shaped base provides stability and the locating slots for the fuselage supports to fit into.  The wing support consists of another base providing the locating slots for the cup that traps the wing (also included).

Maximum space between supports 175mm.  Overall dimensions including wing support 268mm x 390mm

Base Extension

For use with longer aeroplanes.  This provides another T shaped base along with a connecting piece to align with the initial base.

Combined with the initial base this gives a maximum distance between supports of 412mm.  Overall dimensions including initial base and wing support 475mm x 390mm.

Small and Medium Supports

A set of four adjustable supports in two pairs.  Aimed at small and medium 1:72 models these wil probably also accommodate 1:48 fighters.

Self adhesive neoprene is provided to protect models placed on the stand.

Small : 150-200mm

Medium : 190mm-300mm

Large Supports

A pair of larger, reinforced supports.  During development these have been used to support a Revell 1:72 Blohm und Voss BV222 Wiking and an Airfix 1:24 Spitfire.
